AMA LEE, 23

Model

Champion for Neurodiversity

Ama grew up in a traditional Singaporean household, spending weekdays in tuition classes and weekends with her grandparents. Her life was deeply shaped by the unconditional care her mother showed to her uncle, who has an intellectual disability. This early experience inspired her passion for understanding and advocating for neurodiversity.

While pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Ama completed an internship at Pathlight School, where she worked with children on the autism spectrum. The experience reinforced her belief that communication extends beyond words and includes gestures, expressions and empathy. She now seeks to raise awareness about autism, intellectual disabilities and ADHD, encouraging greater understanding and acceptance within the community.

Modeling has given Ama the confidence to embrace her own strengths and see herself in a new light. She describes herself as someone who loves meeting people from all walks of life and finding ways to connect. Outside of her work, she enjoys pilates, cafe hopping, and exploring new cuisines.

“Awareness is more than just information. It is empathy, acceptance and understanding. Autism is not a straight line. It is a spectrum, and every individual has unique needs. The more we learn, the better we can connect as a community.”
