DANA GOY, 22
Nursing Student
Bullying Survivor and Animal Welfare Advocate
Bullied in secondary school for her appearance, Dana Goy turned pain into power, rebuilding her confidence to become an accomplished athlete and two-time EAGLES award recipient for excellence in sports and leadership. Today, the nursing student channels that resilience into her twin advocacies: mental health and animal welfare.
Inspired by her grandmother’s elegance and strength, Dana hopes to use the Miss Universe Singapore platform to fight animal abuse and educate the public on caring for often-overlooked pets like hamsters. A creative at heart, she spends her free time crafting, needle felting, and building miniature book nooks, guided by the belief that empathy is her strongest tool.
“Animals cannot speak for themselves. I want to be their voice — and show that beauty is found in strength, compassion, and the courage to stand up for what you believe in,” she says.
